Become a Host
Hosts are the lifeblood of any instructor's business, driving the students to classes, locating ranges, and working with the instructor to ensure that all required equipment is present. If you are interested in hosting there are some things you need to know! Your hosting work secures you a FREE slot in class!
Host Responsibilites
Each class needs a minimum of 5 paying students
This is not required to begin hosting but classes risk being cancelled if we do not meet this number 15-30 days before the course start date. I will work with you to help market classes and meet that minimum class size.
HOST RESPONSIBILTIES
-
Hosts are expected to market classes to their local area to help fill the class!
-
To coordinate with the range facility, ensuring we have access to the required equipment
-
Secure an indoor or outdoor range with enough space for at least 10 students and 25 yards minimum (indoor ranges can be difficult to deal with but as long as they are willing to accommodate that can work)
-
Provide the specific range location so it can be added to the instructors insurance and ensure the students know where to go, as well as any specific instructions for the range like gate codes, parking arrangements and off-limits areas or protocols.
-
Handle the receipt of any targets, ammo, or any other supplies in advance of the course
-
Spray glue and/or staplers to attach backers to target stands
-
Target backers large enough to fit 23"x35" paper targets (size of the class plus 1 for the instructor)
-
A minimum of 2 A/C zone steel targets, any other steel are a bonus if available but not required. (If the range does not allow steel targets we can make other accommodations)
-
White paint for steel targets
-
Act as the students local liaison to make sure they know where to be, when to be there and have all the information they need.
This is a lot of work, I understand, which is why you as a host get a free slot in the class for helping me by facilitating.

We look forward to training with you!
