Training Philosophy
Traditional LE firearms training often fails to transfer effectively to the street. The national accuracy average in Law Enforcement shootings is around 25-35%, and this inability to perform in that area creates undue risk to the officers, suspects, and the public. It also creates a massive liability both criminally and civilly for the officers and departments involved. The Force Science Institute estimates that use of force, mistake of fact shootings, and other legal liabilities cost American cities around $1,000,000,000 per year nationwide. The only real solution to many of these issues is better trained officers.
My approach bridges high-performance shooting fundamentals with the realities officers face daily — including one-handed shooting, accuracy and accountability, movement under stress, red dot optics integration, and process-focused training. The goal is to impart self-diagnosis capability to officers so they better understand how to train for what real life encounters may demand. As well as stress and speed inoculation which will help them better automate their shooting process. A surplus of skill is never a detriment when lives are on the line.

I have collected a plethora of data points which indicate a few very key issues with modern Law Enforcement firearms training
1. Most firearms qualifications are insurance liability check points which do not indicate actual competency with a firearm
2. The reality of firearms engagements is typically faster, requires more visual confirmation, target discrimination, and the ability to control your shooting pace, which most LE shooting programs do not train
3.After thousands of hours of body-worn camera footage, most officers shoot at about 0.18-0.25 splits, that is the time between each shot. Its likely that that shooting is the first time they have ever discharged their weapon at that pace.
4. You cannot take a student to a skill level in shooting that you have never been
My goal is to help shift the perspective of Law Enforcement training to better understand how better technical skill supports more positive outcomes, limits liability, mitigates risk to officers and the public, and builds better decision making.
